Chromatic Harmonica Footpedal from Sea-Are Productions - $500.00

lever arm and bearing casing

The Chromatic harmonica Footpedal is currently available through
Sea-Are Productions. This model is based on an original design by
Vern Smith, and has been extensively modified and improved.
These improvements are the result of years of use and adjustments.

The pedal has been used in various professional jazz ensembles demanding flexibility, speed, and a streamlined image.Tom Clement of Clement Machine has helped reduce the number of parts and introduced encased bearings to enhance the responsiveness and reliability of the pedal

The current 2010 model is based on a 12 hole chromatic harmonica. The neck rack can be adjusted to fit a larger harp, but the 12 hole short stroke harp is recommended.

The screws which hold the cover plate together will be replaced by a single screw which threads into the bracket. This is the only alteration of the harmonica, and can be reassembled when not attached to the neckrack. Playing the harmonica with the Chromatic Harmonica Footpedal is exactly like playing the instrument by itself. All functions and characteristics of chromatic harmonica playing are preserved with this mechanism.

Sea-Are Productions and Clement Machine manufacture and assemble these units in small batches of three or four at a time. They are hand made, designed, and assembled in the USA by a local machinist and professional musician.

Please contact Sea-Are Productions for ordering information and delivery times.
